Soon to be released by Scalextric is an iconic British sports car, the MGB.  Although not completely to my taste, I have to admit that the number 47 MGB that competed in the 1964 running of Sebring (driven by Ed Leslie and Jack Dalton) is very eye catching in its bright red livery.

From Scalextric: 'Sebring in 1964 was one of the world's top-tier endurance races, part of the FIA Challenge Mondiale and Prototypes Trophy, along with the Targa Florio, Le Mans and the Nurburgring 1000 km. Two of the British Motor Car Distributor's three car team of red, white and blue MGBs finished the gruelling 12 hours, an extraordinary achievement demonstrating the competitiveness of the MGB.

An iconic British sports car for the Scalextric classic car enthusiast. This version is modelled on the team car sent to the USA for the Sebring 12hr endurance race in 1964. The detailed car includes wire wheels, knock-off spinners, working lights at the front and rear, as well as Magnatraction and the Scalextric Digital DPR facility.'
